METRO MANILA, Philippines — Nakakabahalaâ na raw ang mga kaganapan kayát pinaghahandà ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Northern Luzon Command (Nolcom) ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) laban sa anumáng posibleng “external threats.”

Itó raw ang utos ni Marcos ng bumisita siyá kahapong Lunes sa headquarters ng 5th Infantry Division at Joint Task Force Tala sa Gamu, Isabela, ayon sa hepe ng AFP Public Affairs Office na si Col. Xerxes Trinidad.

Ipinaliwanag ni Marcos sa mga kaharáp na mga sundalo na nagbago na ang panahón at ngayón ang focus ay external defense, partikulár na ang sa mga aktibidád ng China sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).

Pinamumunuan ni Maj. Gen. Audrey Pasin ang JTF Tala at sakop nito ang Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, at Cordillera Administrative Region.

Pinangangasiwaan din nitó ang Joint Task Group Baguio at ang PAF Tactical Operations Groups 1 at 2.
