Vietnamese fishing boat lumubog sa West Philippine Sea

METRO MANILA, Philippines —Isang Vietnames fishing boat ang lumubog noong Martes, ika-30 ng Hulyo, sa West Philippine Sea (WPS), ayon sa pahayag ng Philippine Navy nitong Huwebes.

Sinabi ni Naval Forces West spokesman, Cmdr. John Alcos, natanggap nila ang ulat na noong nakaarang Martes isang banyagang fishing boat ang lumubog malapit sa Quirino Atoll, na may layong 140 nautical miles sa kanluran ng Palawan.

Sabi pa ni Alcos na ang lumubog na bangka ay may bow number Q.Ng 96554 TS.

Agad na ipinadala ang BRP Alcaraz, at nang matunton ang bangka tanging ang ibabaw na bahagi nalang nito ang nakalitaw sa ibabaw ng dagat.

Walang naabutan na mga tripulante ang Alcaraz kayat ipinapalagay na inabandona na lamang nila ang kanilang bangka bago tuluyang lumubog.

Aalamin ang dahilan nang paglubog ng bangka.
