Hindi dapat tumaas ang presyo ng bigas dahil sa Carina – DA
METRO MANILA, Philippines — Hindi dapat tumaas ang presyo ng bigas dahil sa pananalasa ng Typhoon Carina at epekto ng habagat, ayon sa pahayag ng Department of Agricultuire (DA) nitong Huwebes.
Sinabi ni Agriculture Assistant Secretary Arnel de Mesa na maganda ang huling ani ng palay at madami din ang naangkat na bigas.

Base sa monitoring ng kagawaran, eto ang mga presyo ng bigas:
- local regular milled: P45 hanggang P50 bawat kilo
- well-milled: P45 hanggang P55 bawat kilo
- imported: P46 hanggang P53 bawat kilo
Sa monitoring naman ng DA-Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Operations Center nasa 2,299 metric tons ang napinsalang palay at bigas, na nagkakahalaga ng P191.53 milyon.
