METRO MANILA, Philippines — Libre na sa mga kwalipikadong estudyante ang entrance examinations sa ilalim ng Free College Entrance Examination Act (Republic Act No. 12006), na ayon sa pahayág nitóng Biyernes ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO) ay nag-lapse into law.

Pinaalala namán ito ni Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., ang pangunahing may-akdâ at nagsulong ng panukalang batas.

Sinabi ni Revilla na ang bagong batás ay magbibigáy ng pagkakataón sa mga kapús-palad pero kwalipikadong mga graduate ng senior high school na makapasok sa mga koléhiyo at unibersidád.

Aniya, libre na rin ang admission fees kapág nakapasá sa entrance exam ng private higher education institutions (HEIs).

Ipinaliwanag niyá kung ano ang mga kwalipikasyón na kailangan ng graduate:

  • kabilang siya sa top 10 ng graduating class
  • sertipikasyón na ang pamilya niyá ay walang kakayahán na tustusán ang mga pang araw-araw na pangangailangan
  • maipapasá ang lahat ng requirement ng unibersidád o koléhiyo na nais niyáng pasukan

Noóng nakaraáng Marso, nagáng batás na rin ang isinulong ni Revilla na Anti-No Permit, No Exam Policy Act.
