Ayon kay Senior Superintendent Fergen Torred, Western Mindanao police chief, si Jamar Abdula Mansul, alkalde ng bayan ng Hadji Muhtamad sa Basilan ay dinakip habang papasakay ito ng eroplano sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at patungo sana sa Kuala Lumpur.
Mga tauhan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang dumakip kay Mansul.
“I received the confirmation from the Department of National Defense (DND) stating that Mansul was apprehended by personnel of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at the NAIA Terminal 1 on Monday morning,” ayon kay Torred.
Si Mansul angika-156 na personality na naaresto sa ilalim ng kautusan ni Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana salig sa umiiral na Martial Law Instructions No. 1 na inilabas noong September 4, 2017.
Ayon kay Torred, si Mansul ay kabilang sa top 3 drug lords na nag-ooperate sa Basilan at itinuturing na high value target ng pulisya.
