Walang ipadadalang sundalo ang Japan sa Pilipinas para tumulong sa rehabilitasyon ng Marawi City.
Pahayag ito ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte matapos ang kanyang official visit sa Japan.
Ayon sa pangulo, ipinagbabawal ang nasabing hakbang konstitusyon ng Japan.
“No, I do not think that they are sending soldiers — the Japan Defense Forces. No. It’s their military arm of their government and I do not think that your Constitution would allow that thing to happen”, ani Duterte.”
Sa ngayon, ayon sa pangulo, sapat na ang Japanese exports at technician na tulong ng bansa.
“We are very satisfied with the Japanese exports and technicians, they are all good”, dagdag pa ni Duterte.”
Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Duterte na posibleng magkaroon ng joint training ang Pilipinas at Japan pero ito ay sa mga taga coast guard lamang.
Civilian component aniya ang coast guard sa Japan na nasa ilalim ng Department of Transportation at Territorial Waters ang pinagtutuunan ng pansin.
“Maybe Coast Guard. The Coast Guard there is purely civilian. It belongs to the Department of Transportation. And Coast Guard is the component of enforcing the laws regarding — the laws that is applicable in the territorial waters of Japan. Coast Guard lang po”, pahayag pa ng pangulo.”
Samantala, pahinga ngayong araw ang pangulo dahil walang schedule matapos ang kanyang official visit sa Japan kasama ang partner na si Honeylet Avanceña at anak na si Kitty.
