Inatasan ng Department of Justice ang National Bureau of Investigation na imbestahan at magsagawa ng case build-up sa kaso ng pagkamatay ng UST law student na si Horacio Castillo III.
Sa kaniyang department order, inatasan din ni Justice Sec Vitaliano Aguirre II si NBI Director Dante Gierran na magsumite sa DOJ ng report kaugnay sa gagawing imbestigasyon at case build-up.
Pinasasampahan din ng kaso ng DOJ sa NBI ang sinumang mapapatunayang may kinalaman sa pagkasawi ni Castillo nang dahil sa hazing.
“The National Bureau of Investigation” through Director Dante A. Gierran, is hereby Directed and granted authority to conduct investigation and case build-up over the death of UST law student Horacio Castillo III, who died in suspected frat hazing, and if evidence so warrants, to file appropriate charges thereon,” nakasaad sa kautusan.
Ang gagawing imbestigasyon ng ahensya ay hiwalay sa isinasagawa nang imbestigasyon ng Manila Police District ng siyang may hawak sa kaso ng pagkamatay ng law student.
