METRO MANILA, Philippines — Sinabi ni dating Senate President Frank Drilon na maaring magpatawag ng special session sa Kongreso para matalakay ang impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Ngunit, ayon kay Drilon, kailangang maisama muna ang impeachment complaint sa agenda ng Senado, na magsisilbing impeachment court.

Aniya hindi maaring kumilos ang Senado dahil naka-session break ngunit kung ito ay mabubuo bilang impeachment court ay maaring na itong umaksyon sa reklamo para paglilitis kay Duterte.

Tinanggap kahapon ng Senado ang Articles of Impeachment ilang oras bago magsara ang sesyon bago ang midterm elections break ng Kongreso.

Idiniin ni Drilon na hindi maaring kuwestiyonin kahit ng Korte Suprema ang kapangyarihan ng pangulo na magpatawag ng special session sa Kongreso.
