METRO MANILA, Philippines — Inanunsyo ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang pagdating nitong Huwebes ng gabi ng pinalayang 17 Filipino seafarers.

Sinabi ni Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Jose de Vega ang 17 na tripulante ng MV Galaxy Leader ay lalapag sa NAIA alas-9:30 p.m. mula sa Oman.

Labing apat na buwan silang binihag ng Houthi rebels sa Somalia kasama ang walong iba pang tripulante ng naturang cargo vessel.

Kinumpirma kaninang umaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pagpapalaya sa mga tripulanteng Filipino.

Pinasalamatan ng DFA ang gobyerno ng Oman sa tulong sa pagpapalaya sa mga Filipino.
