PCG medical evacuation sinubok harangan ng China sa Ayungin

METRO MANILA, Philippines — Pinalibutan at tinangkáng harangan ng Chinese vessels ang dalawang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) vessels na nagsasagawâ ng medical evacuation malapit sa Ayungin Shoal nitóng nakaraang araw ng Linggó.

Ayon kay Philippine Navy Rear Adm. Vincent Trinidad, takapagsalitâ ng Navy ukol sa West Philippine Sea, galing ang mga PCG vessels sa BRP Sierra Madre, BRP Cabra, at BRP Cape Engano, at nakuha na ang isáng maysakit na tauhan ng Navy nang maganáp ang pagharang.

Nabatíd ng Radyo Inquirer na isáng China Coast Guard vessel at anim na Chinese militia vessels ang nangharang sa may 14 nautical miles mulâ sa BRP Sierra Madre.

Ayon kay Trinidad, umiwas na lamang at nagtungo sa direksyón ng Escoda Shoal ang dalawáng PCG vessels habang bantáy ng CCG vessel.

Nagíng matagumpáy din ang paglikas sa may sakít na taga-Navy.
