Tigil muna konstruksyón ng bagong Senate building – Escudero
METRO MANILA, Philippines — Inanunsiyó ni Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero nitóng Lunes ang pansamantaláng pagtigil sa konstruksyón ng bagong Senate building sa Taguig City.
Sinabi ni Escudero na ititigil din muna ang pagbabayad sa lahát ng mga bayarín.
Ibinahagì itó ni Escudero sa kanyáng mensahe sa una niyáng flag ceremony sa Senado bilang Senate president.

Ipinaliwanag niyá na bubusisiín muna ni Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, ang bagong chairman ng Committee on Accounts, ang lumulobong gastos sa pagpapatayó ng sariling gusalì ng Senado.
Sa paunang P8.9 na bilyóng pondo, umakyát na ito sa P13 na bilyón at nangangailangan pa ng karagdagang P20 bilyon upang matapos.
