METRO MANILA, Philippines — Magbubuô ang Philippine National Police (PNP) ng isang special team na magbabantáy sa mga pulís na rumaraket bilang “escort service,” pahayág ng PNP spokesperson na si Col. Jean Fajardo kahapong Huwebes, ika-30 ng Mayo.
Babantayán din daw ng grupo ang ilegál na paggamit ng marked vehicles ng PNP.
Aniya nabuo ang plano sa pakikipagpulong ni PNP chief na si Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil sa Department of Transportation (DOTr) at Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
“Our IMEG [Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group] pati HPG [Highway Patrol Group] would run after dito sa mga posibleng gumagamit ng mga marked vehicles na hindi naman talagang totoong pulis, and of course, the IMEG, as what was discussed with the DOTr and MMDA, they might catch moonlighting police officers,” sabi ni Fajardo.
Pagaganahin ang special team sa Metro Manila muna sa susunód na linggó.
Kailangan lamang maglabás ang PNP Directorate for Operations ng guidelines para malaman ang ibá pang police units na makakasama ng IMEG at HPG sa special team.
