Nanawagan si Vice President Sara Duterte na bigyang halaga ang pagtugon sa climate change.
Pahayag ito ni Duterte sa ika-10 anibersaryo ng Bagyong Yolanda na tumama sa Leyte.
Ayon kay Duterte, ang pagtugon sa climate change ay paghahanda sa ano mang uri ng kalamidad.
“Today, as we remember the lives lost, let us unite in solidarity and recommit ourselves to creating a safer, more resilient future defined by sustainable development. Together, we can build communities that are better prepared to face the challenges posed by natural disasters and climate change,” pahayag ni Duterte sa video message.
Nobyembre 8, 2013 nang tumama ang Bagyong Yolanda kung mahigit 6,000 katao ang nasawi.
“This commemoration serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of disaster risk reduction, climate change mitigation, and disaster preparedness. It is crucial that we learn from the lessons of the past and take proactive steps to prevent such catastrophic events from happening again,” pahayag ni Duterte.
Nanawagan din si Duterte ng pagkakaisa.
