Marahil ay hinog na ang panahon para pabalikin na sa China si Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian dahil sa nangyaring banggaan ng mga Philippine at Chinese vessels sa may Ayungin Shoal noong nakaraang Linggo.
“With this aggression committed anew by China, it may be the right time for the Chinese ambassador to be sent home to Beijing and be replaced with someone who would prioritize adherence to international laws,” pahayag ni Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva.
Kailangan din aniya ang papalit kay Huang ay rerespetuhin ang pandaigdigang batas.
Ipinatawag ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) si Huang dahil sa insidente ngunit nabatid na ito ay “out of town.”
“The intrusion of the Chinese Coast Guard — hitting and damaging the Philippine navy ships delivering essential supplies in Ayungin Shoal — is undoubtedly an escalated form of harassment,” dagdag pa ni Villanueva.
