Natanggap na ni dating Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board executive assistant Jeff Tumbado ang subpoena na inihain ng National Bureau of Investigation.
Ayon kay Department of Justice spokesman Attorney Mico Clavano, inaasahang haharap si Tumbado sa NBI sa araw ng Lunes, Oktubre 16 ng 10:00 ng umaga.
Ito ay para mag-presenta si Tumbado ng mga ebidensya kaugnay sa naging alegasyon nito ng korupsyon sa LTFRB.
“NBI has confirmed that they have served the subpoena to Mr. Tumbado and the same was duly received. He is set to appear before the NBI at 10 o’clock in the morning on Monday, October 16, to present evidence to support the allegation of corruption in the LTFRB. He is required to be present. As stated in the subpoena, failure to appear may be penalized under law,” pahayag ni Clavano.
Sabi ni Tumbado, umaabot sa P5 milyon ang hinihingi ng mga opisyal ng LTFRB kapalit ng prangkisa, special permit at iba pa.
Matapos ibunyag ni Tumbado ang alegasyon, agad na sinuspendi ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos si LTFRB chairman Teofilo Guadiz.
Pero makalipas ang ilang araw, binawi ni Tumbado ang mga alegasyon at sinabing bugso lamang ng emosyon.
Matatandaang inihain na ng NBI ang subpoena noong Oktubre 12 pero maling address ang nakalagay sa tirahan ni Tumbado.
