Magandang hakbang ayon sa mga senador ang pagtatalaga ng Malakanyang kay dating Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., bilang Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China for Special Concerns.

“Given his experience as Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) secretary, lawyer and former legislator, I’m sure Ambassador Teddy Locsin could be the best one for the job as special envoy for special concerns,” ani Ejercito.

“Being a former DFA Secretary, as well as the former Ambassador to the United Nations, he has the expertise and experience in dealing with China,” diin nito.

“He is an adroit diplomat and skilled leader, unafraid to go to whatever lengths necessary for the best interest of the Filipinos, We hope he can help the country navigate through the rough waters of the West Philippine Sea to defend and protect what belongs to us,” dagdag ng senadora.

“Any action that promotes talks, dialogue or other peaceful means with the objective of achieving greater understanding, restraint and cooperation is always most welcome,” sabi pa ni Escudero.

“As an experienced diplomat and skilled communicator, his deep understanding of diplomatic protocol, international relations, and the nuances of various issues will enable him to engage with China on a wide range of concerns. Clear communication is crucial for building mutual understanding and finding common ground,” ayon pa kay Estrada.

Dagdag pa nito: “Pinatuyan din ng Pangulo ang pagiging tapat niya sa mga naunang pahayag na nais niyang tugunan ang mga alitan sa teritoryo ng Pilipinas sa China sa pamamagitan ng diplomatikong negosasyon at panindigan ang pagiging “friend to all and an enemy to none” ng ating bansa.”
