Pondo sa social pension ng indigent senior citizens, dinoble na

 

Dinoble ng Department of Budget and Management ang budget para sa social pension ng indigent senior citizens sa bansa.

Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, nasa P49.81 bilyong pondo ang inilaan sa social pension sa 2024 National Budget.

Doble aniya ito mula sa P25.30 bilyong pondo sa 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

“The budget for social pension for indigent senior citizens will be doubled to P49.81 billion to cover the increased government monthly allowance of P1,000 for more than 4 million indigent senior citizens who are not part of the pension system,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.

Mula sa P500 na buwanang pensyon, magiging P1,000 na ito ngayon.
