Pitong high-impact projects ang inaprubahan ng National Economic and Development Authority Board kung saan si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang tumatayong chairman.
Ayon kay Socioeconomic planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, inaprubahan ng board ang pitong proyekto sa ikalong meeting kahapon sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.
Kabilang sa mga proyekto ang pagtatayo sa P6 bilyong halaga ng 300-bed capacity sa University of the Philippines (UP)-Philippine General Hospital (PGH) Cancer Center-Public Private Partnership (PPP).
Inaprubahan din ng NEDA Board ang pagtatas ng cost ng Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) rehabilitation project ng P7.6 bilyon.
Nabatid na nasa P21.9 bilyon lamang ang pondo para sa MRT 3 subalit dinagdagan ito at ginawang P29.6 bilyon.
Inaprubahan din ang paggamit sa Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) loan balance na P2.12 bilyon para sa bagong Communications, Navigation, Surveillance-Air Traffic Management (CNS-ATM) system.
Aprubado rin ang konstruksyon ng P17 bilyong New Dumaguete Airport Development Project sa Bacong, Negros Oriental.
Popondohan ang Dumaguete airport project ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) sa pamamagitan ng Official Development Assistance (ODAmula sa South Korean government sa Export Import Bank of Korea Economic Development Cooperation Fund.
“Other projects approved or confirmed by the NEDA board were the P6.6-billion Department of Agriculture’s Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIDP), aimed at increasing agricultural productivity, resiliency and access to markets and services; and the Investment Coordination Committee approval of the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) P20-billion first phase of the Integrated Flood Resilience and adaptation project in three major river basins in the country to be funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB),” pahayag ni Balisacan.
