Sisimulan na ng Quezon City government ang paniningil ng real property tax o amilyar ngayong taon.
Ito ay matapos ang limang taong pagtigil ng lokal na pamahalaan ng panininngil ng amilyar.
Ayon kay Quezon City Treasurer Ed Villanueva, ibabase ang paniningil ng amilyar sa 2017 schedule of fair market values.
“Beginning with the taxable year 2023, we will use the FMVs for various classes of real property as defined in Ordinance No. SP-2556, S-2016 which was passed in 2016 and was applied until 2017,” pahayag ni Villanueva.

Nilinaw ni Villanueva na hindi bago ang adjustment kundi ipinatutupad lamang nila ang orinansa matapos pansamantalang ipatigil ng Supreme Court dahil sa petisyon na inihain ng homeowners association.
Kinuwestyun ng homeonwers association ang legalidad ng ordinansa ng lokal na pamahalaan.
Taong 2018 nang bawiin ng SC ang temporary restraining order at binigyan ng go signal na ituloy ang implementasyon ng ordinansa.
“However, despite the favorable decision, the local government decided to continue its suspension until recently to alleviate “the effects of inflation caused by the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law,” pahayag ni Villanueva.
“Through the years, the unwavering support of our residents through their tax payments has enabled us to fund impactful programs. We look forward to the same support as we aim to build and rehabilitate vital public facilities such as footbridges, parks, schools, and hospitals, among others; and, of course, to fund the social services that we extend especially to the marginalized,” dagdag ni Villanueva.
Maaring bayaran ang amilyar sa City Treasurer’s Office sa City Hall, Payment Centers, o online sa pamamagitan ng QC E-Services.
Makakukuha ng 20 prosyentong discount ang mga taxpayers na magbabayad ng amilyar bago ang March 31, 2023 habang 10 porsyento naman sa mga magbabayad ng installment.
