Sa kanyang privilege speech, ipinakita ni Sen. Francis Tolentino ang video nang ginawang pang-aagaw ng Chinese Coast Guard sa mga tauhan ng Philippine Navy na narekober ang bahagi ng isang Chinese rocket noong Nobyembre.
“Let us continue to denounce the brazen intrusions into our maritime territory and do all within our power to assert our rights,” diin ni Tolentino.
“That damning video, subukan ng Chinese Ambassador sa Pilipinas ipagmukhang friendly consultation iyan,” ayon naman kay Sen. Risa Hontiveros.
Itinanggi ng Embahada ng China ang insidente at sinabi na nagkaroon naman ng ‘friendly consultation’ sa pagbawi nila ng rocket debris.
“I want them to hear it, that’s why I am making my voice loud and clear… Bawal ang bully,” ayon naman kay Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda said.
“Kung nakikinig kayo mga Chinese, galit na kami. To tell you frankly, we are mad by what you are doing to our troops,” hirit naman ni Sen. Bato dela Rosa.
“We want to send this message to this bullying country that they will never be able to bully us,” pahayag naman ni Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva.
“My fellow citizens, we will not agree, we should not agree to this. We will wholeheartedly stand firm with pride. The Philippines is ours. We should fight for it,” ayon naman kay Sen. Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla
