Pagpapaliwanagin ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang mga opisyal ng National Irrigation Administration kaugnay sa pagkakasuspendi ni Administrator Benny Antiporda.
Ayon kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. kailangan niyang malaman ang background.
Pinatawan ni Ombudsman Samuel Martires ng anim na buwang suspension si Antiporda matapos ireklamo ng mga empleyado ng NIA ng grave misconduct, harassment, oppression, at ignorance of the law.
“We have to find out what happened to Benny, see what really is the situation there, why Ombudsman Martires suspended him. So it happened all when I was away. So I’ve asked them to give me the background on what happened. Yeah. But the function of the NIA is – does not – is not going to change,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Kumpiyansa naman ang Pangulo na hindi maapektuhan ang target na food security sa bansa sa gitna ng gusot sa NIA.
“No. There are enough people there in the NIA who know what to do. At in fact, I’m meeting them after this. So, make sure that ‘yung function ng NIA ay tuloy-tuloy,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
“In fact, I suppose, parang – if there was that conflict inside the agency, baka ngayon na nawala ‘yan, baka mas gumanda pa ang takbo,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
