Pinakilos na ng Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development ang mga Regional Shelter Cluster Teams sa mga lugar na apektado ng Bagyong Paeng.
Ayon kay DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar, inatasan na niya ang mga regional directors at officers-in-charge na maging alerto sa pagtugon sa pangangailangan ng mga biktima ng bagyo.
“We must be proactive, ready at all times to provide assistance especially during these typhoons when lives are in peril,” pahayag ni Acuzar.
Nagpalabas naman ng memorandum si Assistant Secretary Daryll Bryan Villanueva na nag-aatas sa mga regional officers na maghanda sa posibleng emergency response.
“Let’s ensure that all hands are on deck with regards to our shelter clusters,” dagdag ng kalihim.
Kabilang sa mga inalerto ng DHSUD ang National Capital Region, Negros Island Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Regions 1, 2, 3, 4B (MIMAROPA) 6, 8, 10 at 13.
“All concerned regional shelter cluster teams…are hereby activated or placed on stand-by effective 29 October 2022 at 8:00 AM to monitor and facilitate emergency response and humanitarian assistance in response to the effects of ‘Paeng,’” pahayag ni Villanueva.
