Nakiisa ang Globe Telecom sa kampaniyang ‘Oplan Kontra Putol’ na inilunsad ng cable at telecommunications providers sa bansa.
Layon ng inisyatibo na mabigyan ang publiko ng mga impormasyon ukol sa pagpuputol ng mga kable at ang perwsiyong idinudulot nito sa komunidad.
Nakapaloob sa Oplan Kontra Putol campaign ang consumer education, efficient security deployment at patrolling system, bukod sa koordinasyon sa mga awtoridad at lokal na gobyerno.
Isang manipesto ang inilabas ng Oplan Kontra Putol consortium at ito ay pinirmahan ng Globe, Metroworks ICT Construction Inc., Radius Telecoms, Inc., PLDT, Inc./Smart Communications, Inc., Streamtech Systems Technologies, Inc., Philippine Cable and Telecommunications Association, Inc. at Skycable Corp.
‘We condemn all illegal acts of intentional cable cutting and are confident that with everyone’s support and concerted efforts, we can and we will curb and prevent illegal cable-cutting to continue giving the best service our valued customers deserve,” ang pagdidiin sa manipesto.
Sa bahagi ng Globe, hanggang nitong Hulyo, nakapagsampa na ng 785 iba’t ibang kaso dahil sa pagnanakaw ng kanilang mga kable at kabilang sa 281 kinasuhan ay kanilang third-party contractors.
“Through Bantay Kable, and now with Oplan Kontra Putol, we hope to help protect our country’s telecom infrastructure from these lawless elements. We also want to continuously build and expand our network to provide Filipinos equitable access to connectivity without dealing with the additional burden of running after criminals,” sabi ni Globe VP for Safety and Security Ronald Uychutin.
