Nakabalik na ng Pilipinas ang mahigit 150 Filipino mula sa Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Sinalubong ng ilang tauhan ng Department of Foreign Affairs – Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs (OUMWA) ang repatriated Filipinos, na karamihan ay seafarers.
Nakabiyahe ang mga Filipino sa pamamagitan ng Smartlynx Estonia flight MYX 8480, isang OSM Maritime Group-chartered flight.
“We give thanks to our men and women both at our embassies abroad and at home for working round the clock and making sure that the much needed certifications and clearances were issued and properly acted upon,” pahayag ni OUMWA Undersecretary Sarah Lou Arriola.
Dagdag nito, “We also take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to all our partner agencies, especially the One Stop Shop for the Management of Returning Overseas Filipinos, or the OSS, in making all arrangements for this flight possible.”
Inaasahang sasailalim ang mga pasahero sa quarantine protocols na itinakda ng Inter-Agency Task Force.
