Binabalak ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na makapagsagawa ng anim na debate ng mga kandidato sa eleksyon sa darating na Mayo.
Sinabi ni Comelec spokesman Jame Jimenez na tig-tatlong debate para sa mga presidential at vice-presidential candidates.
“We have three presidential debates as a general rule. Last elections we had one vice presidential debate. This time we are hoping to expand the nunber of vice-presidential debates seeing how the vice president is elected independently of the president,” aniya.
Base sa kanilang plano, dagdag pa ni Jimenez, magkakaharap ang mga kandidato sa debate, ngunit walang live audience.
“It will be face to face among candidates, candidates will be in the same place, will be debating in person but the audience will be virtual,” sabi pa ni Jimenez.
Pabor naman sa ‘live debate’ ang lahat ng presidential candidates.
