Inaprubahan na ng Department of Health (DOH) ang Level 2 accreditation ng government-owned na Rosario Maclang Baustista General Hospital (RMBGH) sa Quezon City.

Dahil dito, upgraded na ang medical capabilities ng naturang ospital.

Ayon kay Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, may 107 ang bed capacity ng ospital sa Barangay Batasan Hills.

“Now that the DOH has acknowledged the City’s efforts to develop RMBGH into a level-2 hospital, the City can deliver enhanced health care for the residents in the second district,” pahayag ni Mayor Belmonte.

Sa ilalim ng Level 1, nasa minimum healthcare services lamang ang alok ng ospital gaya ng general medicine, pediatrics, Ob-Gyne, at surgery.

Pero dahil nasa level 2 na ang RMBGH, mayroon na itong intensive care unit (ICU), neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) para sa premature/preterm at seriously-ill newborns; High Risk Pregnancy Unity (HRPU) sa mga babae, Respiratory Therapy Unit para sa mga pasyente na may cardio-pulmonary disorders.

Magiging departmentalized na ang ospital para sa mga espesyalista sa pediatrics, family medicine, anesthesiology, obstetrics at gynecology, surgery, subspecialties, at ancillary services.
