Mga botante, hinimok ng Palasyo na huwag hintayin ang last-minute registration

Ikinatuwa ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang desisyon ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na palawigin pa ang voter registration ng hanggang October 30 sa halip na September 30.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, magandang balita ito lalo’t marami pang mga botante ang hindi nakapagpaparehistro bunsod ng pandemya sa COVID-19.

“The resolution of the Commission on Election (COMELEC) to extend voter registration for the 2022 elections is a positive development in light of the extraordinary circumstances brought by the COVID-19 pandemic,” pahayag ni Roque.

Nanawagan ang Palasyo sa mga botante na magparehistro na at huwag na namang hintayin ang last-minute regsitration.

“Having said this, and now that ample time is given, we call on all eligible voters, especially the youth, to register early, and not resort to last-minute registration, while adhering to minimum public health standards,” pahayag ni Roque.

Dapat aniyang gamitin ng bawat Filipino ang karapatan na bumoto.
