Si Ongpin ang sinasabing huling nakasama ng painter na si Bree Jonson, na nakitang walang malay at idineklarang patay sa San Juan, La Union.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, kasunod ito ng inilabas na Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) ng Department of Justice (DOJ).
“We received an a memorandum from the DOJ ordering his inclusion in our ILBO database,” pahayag ni Morente at aniya pa, “We have immediately implemented said order upon receipt.”
Layon nitong matutukan ang itineraries ng flight, biyahe, o kinaroroonan ni Ongpin na maaring umalis ng bansa.
“All immigration officers nationwide in both airports and seaports have been instructed to closely monitor his travel and to prudently verify if he has an existing warrant of arrest, if encountered,” dagdag ni Morente.
