Naghain ng resolusyon ang apat na minority senators na kilalanin ang mga nagawa ng yumaong dating Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman.
Sa Senate Resolution No. 913 nais nina Minority Leader Frank Drilon, Sens. Leila de Lima, Kiko Pangilinan at Risa Hontiveros na mapahalagahan ang mga ginawa ni Soliman para maiangat ang kalidad ng buhay ng mga mahihirap.
“Sec. Dinky left nothing materially but so much in the respectful affection of all who worked, dreamed and fought with her causes and advocacies. Her passing ends a chapter in the country’s civil society sector,” sabi ng apat na senador.
Binanggit din nila na sa resolusyon; “Her (Soliman) untimely death as an exemplary public servant and social worker, the first responder on the ground and the last person to leave the disaster-stricken area, is a great loss to the Filipino people and the nation as well, particularly in this time of crisis and upheaval.”
Ilan lang sa mga isinulong ni Soliman ay ang Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program na sinimulan sa administrasyong-Arroyo at napaigting sa administrasyong-Noynoy Aquino.
Gayundin ang iba pang social welfare programs tulad ng Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) at Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan- Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services – National Community- Driven Development Program (KC-NCDDP).”
Naniniwala ang mga senador na tatak sa kasayayan ng Pilipinas si Soliman bilang ‘champion of social justice and demoicracy.’
Namayapa si Soliman noong nakaraang araw ng Linggo sa edad na 68 bunga ng komplikasyon ng kanyang kondisyon sa bato at puso.
