Drilon sa Pharmally execs: Kung walang itinatago, bakit nagtatago?

Ipinagtataka ni Senate Minority Leader Frank Drilon ang hindi pa rin paglutang ng mga opisyal ng Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. para humarap sa pagdinig ng Blue Ribbon Committee.

Aniya dapat ay tumestigo ang mga ito kaugnay sa higit P100 bilyon kontrata ng medical supplies na nakuha nila sa Procurement Service ng Department of Budget and Management sa pamamagitan ni dating Usec. Christopher Lao.

“They know that the hearings are going on. Why have they not volunteered and come up and said, ‘I’m here and I’m willing to explain all of this.’ Why? That’ s why questions are being raised, because of this incident that’s not consistent with our ordinary human experience,” sabi ni Drilon.

Sinubukan na ng Blue Ribbon na padalhan ng subpoena sina Huan Tzu Yen, chief executive officer ng Pharmally; Twinkle Dargani, presidente; at Mohit Dargani, treasurer, ngunit hindi makita ang address ng korporasyon.

Binanggit pa ni Drilon ang Rebmann Inc., ang nag-supply ng personal protective equipment (PPE) noong administrasyong-Noynoy Aquino na kinuwestiyon ni Presidential spokesman Harry Roque.

Aniya agad nagpahayag ang mga opisyal ng Rebmann ng kahandaan na ipaliwanag ang naging kontrata nila sa gobyerno.

“Again, the willingness of Rebmann to explain is an indication that the contract is above board as against the situation with Pharmally where up to now I have not seen a single soul,” puna pa ng senador.
