Aabot sa P240.74 bilyon ang pondong inilaan ng pamahalaan para sa COVID-19 response sa susunod na taon.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, ang naturang pondo ay nakapaloob sa 2022 proposed national budget.

Ayon kay Roque, P93 bilyon ang mapupunta sa Department of Health (DOH).

Gagamitin aniya ang pondo sa Health Facilities, Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases, Health Facility Policy and Plan Decelopment o One Hospital Command Center, assistance o ayuda sa indigent patients, pagbili o procurement and supply chain management service, health information technology, at iba pa.

Matatandaang nababalot ng kontrobersiya ang DOH matapos punahin ng Commission on Audit (COA) ang P67 bilyong COVID fund.
