Kaisa ang Palasyo ng Malakanyang sa pagdiriwang ng taong bayan sa tagumpay ni Filipino boxer Carlo Paalam.
Ito ay matapos masungkit ni Paalam ang silver medal sa men’s flyweight division sa Tokyo Olympics.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, proud ang buong bansa sa karangalang iniuwi ni Paalam.
“The entire Filipino nation is very proud of the silver medal finish of Carlo Paalam in the Men’s Flyweight Boxing Competition in Tokyo,” pahayag ni Roque.
Umaasa ang Palasyo na magsisilbing inspirasyon si Paalam sa mga kabataan.
“Carlo’s road to the Olympics is the story of Filipinos – one filled with perseverance, sacrifice, and hard work. May Carlo’s performance further serves as an inspiration to the young generation of Filipinos,” pahayag ni Roque.
Bigo si Paalam na masungkit ang gintong medalya matapos talunin ng pambato ng Great Britain na si Galal Yafai.
