Ipinag-utos ni Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo ang pagsasara ng lahat ng court at judicial offices sa National Capital Region.
Base sa inilabas na administrative circular no. 56-2021, ito ay bunsod ng muling pagpapatupad ng Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) mula August 2 hanggang 20, 2021.
Gayunman, maari pa ring ipagpatuloy ang operasyon via online at magsagawa ng videconferencing hearings para sa urgent incidents at cases.
“The time for filing and service of pleadings and motions during this period is SUSPENDED and shall resume after seven (7) calendar days counted from the first day of the physical reopening of the relevant court,” saad pa nito.
Samantala, pansamantalang isasara rin ang mga court at judicial office sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng ECQ, mayroon o walang heightened restrictions, at MECQ.
Maari ring ituloy ang kanilang operasyon via online at magsagawa ng videconferencing hearings para sa urgent incidents at cases.
Para naman sa mga lugar na isasailalim sa GCQ, mayroon o walang heightened restrictions, at MGCQ, bukas pa rin ang mga opisina ngunit magpapatupad ng in-court skeleton workforce nang 25 hanggang 50 porsyento.
