Nai-turnover na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang itinayong evacuation center sa Esperanza, Agusan del Sur.
Aabot sa P37.4 milyon ang inilaang pondo sa naturang proyekto.
Ayon kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, base sa report mula kay DPWH Region 13 Director Pol Delos Santos, ang naturang pasilidad ay may 2-storey accommodation building, 2-storey infirmary building, laundry area, male and female toilets, materials recovery facility (MRF) at generator set at transformer.
“The new modern evacuation facility is an answered prayer for the residents of Esperanza whose lives are always at risk due to natural disaster, and now, the COVID-19 pandemic,” pahayag ni Secretary Villar.
Bago makumpleto, ginamit ang pasilidad bilang store room para sa relief goods at ilang kagamitan, at nagsilbi rin itong isolation area sa suspected COVID-19 patients at returning overseas Filipinos na sasailalim sa mandatory quarantine..
Sa ngayon, ang pasilidad ay isa nang Operation and Evacuation Center ng Municipality of Esperanza, Agusan del Sur.
