Mga nasa likod ng pag-atake sa detachment sa Datu Piang, Maguindanao pinatutugis ni Sinas

Ipinag-utos ni PNP Chief, Police General Debold M Sinas, ang pagtugis sa mga nasa likod ng pag-atake sa isang detachment sa Datu Piang, Maguindanao, Huwebes (Dec. 3) ng gabi.

Inalerto din ni Sinas ang PNP Special Action Force sa posibleng tactical support sa nagpapatuloy na pursuit operations ng mga tauhan ng Police Regional Office-BAR.

Ayon sa PNP Command Center, 50 armadong lalaki na pinamumunuan ng isang alyas “Sala” at Commander Karialan ang sumalakay sa Municipal Police Station 9:25 ng gabi.

Pinaniniwalaang kasapi sila ng Dawlah Islamiya at splinter faction ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter (BIFF).

Sinunog ng mga suspek ang isang PNP patrol car at saka tumakas.

“The police will file criminal charges against those terrorists responsible for the attack and burning of our patrol car, as we assure the Datu Piang residents of intensified security measures to prevent similar threats posed by violent extremists in the future”, ayon kay Sinas.
