Ayon kay Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, naglaan ng P400 milyon para sa pagpapatupad ng Project EASE (Educational Assistance through Scholarship in Emergencies).
Layon aniya nito na mabigyan ng educational aid ang mga kuwalipikadong college-level dependents ng mga aktibong miyembro ng OWWA, na ang trabaho ay naapektuhan ng pandemiya.
Maaaring mabigyan ng tulong ng P10,000 kada taon sa loob ng apat na taon ang mga kuwalipikado sa programa.
“As the project title suggests, we intend to ease the impact of the pandemic on the lives of our dear OFWs,” sabi pa ni Bello.
Dagdag pa nito, “true to its mandate of providing holistic programs and services to the OFWs and their families, the OWWA board has set aside funds to support the education of college-level dependents of active OWWA-member OFWs.”
