Halos 400 Filipino mula Lebanon, nakauwi na ng bansa

Personal na sinalubong ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr. ang pagbabalik-Pilipinas ng 386 overseas Filipinos mula Lebanon, Lunes ng hapon.

Lulan ang overseas Filipinos ng DFA-chartered Qatar Airways flight QR 3150.

“Welcome home. President Duterte welcomes you home,” ayon sa kalihim.

Naiuwi na rin ng bansa ang mga labi ng walong Filipinos, kung saan ang apat ay nasawi sa malakas na pagsabog sa Beirut Port.

Nagpasalamat si Locsin sa government frontliners sa paliparan para sa pagsalubong sa repatriates.

“We do it because we love you. And we do it because we respect our President — the first and only President who has cared for the least of the Filipino people. Thank you for the honor of serving you,” pahayag pa ni Locsin.
