Ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr), naitala ang nasabing bilang ng mga napauwing OFW hanggang May 29.
Sa 16,710 OFWs, 4,362 ay naihatid sa pamamagitan ng land transport at 9,114 naman ang air transport simula May 25 hanggang 29.
Samantala, 3,234 OFWs naman ang nakauwi via sea transport mula April 27 hanggang May 29.
Pinangunahan ng DOTr ang naturang programa katuwang ang Office of the President, National Task Force Covid-19, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Office for Transportation Security (OTS), Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Land Transportation Office (LTO), at Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Inaasahang patuloy pa rin ang pagpapauwi sa mga OFW na nakatapos na ng quarantine at nagnegatibo sa COVID-19 sa mga susunod na araw.
