Sa datos ng PNP Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management, nakapagtala ng 38,484 kaso mula March 17 hanggang April 30 sa ilalim ng ECQ.
34.45 porsyentong mas mababa ang national total crime volume kumpara sa naitalang 58,705 kaso mula February 1 hanggang March 16.
Ayon kay PNP Chief General Archie Gamboa, ang kooperasyon at suporta ng publiko ang ilan sa mga dahilan kaya bumaba ang crime trend sa bansa.
“If this trend can be sustained under the new normal when the ECQ shall have been eventually downgraded, we can look forward to better days ahead with less crime and lesser fear of crime,” pahayag ni Gamboa.
Ayon naman kay PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, bumaba rin ang index crime cases sa bansa.
Sa 38,484 na kaso, 2,669 lamang ang seryosong krimen mula March 17 hanggang April 30.
Mas mababa ito nang 60.49 porsyento kumpara sa 6,756 index crime cases simula February 1 hanggang March 16.
“The traditional crime landscape, instead, drastically shifted to violations of ECQ guidelines, which are mostly non-index crime cases; and digital crimes thru the use access devices and cyberspace to commit fraud, estafa, extortion, trafficking in persons, child abuse; and circulation of disinformation and fake news,” dagdag pa nito.
