DPWH, naglagay ng dalawang swabbing test booth sa Quezon Institute

Naglagay ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ng dalawang swabbing booth sa Quezon Institute sa Quezon City.

Ayon kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, ang itinayong swabbing booth ay kayang sumuri ng dalawang tao nang magkasabay.

Ito ay mayroong safety features na makakabawas sa physical contact ng healthcare workers habang nagsasagawa ng pagsusuri sa isang tao.

“With the capability of the swabbing booth to test two (2) persons simultaneously will support the COVID-19 mass testing being conducted by the Department of Health (DOH),” pahayag ng kalihim.

Ayon naman kay Undersecretary Emil Sadain, pinuno ng DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local/National Health Facility, ang isang DPWH-manufactured portable swabbing booth ay naipadala sa Quezon Institute in E. Rodriguez, Quezon City noong May 4.

Mayroon din aniya itong kumpletong mechanical exhaust system at self-disinfecting facility gamit ang misting at negative pressure room para maiwasan ang cross contamination.

“In addition to the one (1) completed, two (2) swabbing booths are on-going and we will add more units if DOH requires this portable facility in other areas,” sinabi pa ni Sadain.
