Albayalde, humingi na ng ‘legal advice’ sa gitna ng ‘ninja cops’ controversy

Humingi na ng legal advice si Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Oscar Albayalde sa gitna ng mga akusasyong kinahaharap dahil sa umano’y maanomalyang drug raid noong 2013.

Araw ng Biyernes ay binisita ng PNP chief ang kapwa Kapampangan na si Atty. Estelito Mendoza.

Ayon kay Albayalde, tinanong na niya si Mendoza kung ano ang pwedeng isampang kaso laban sa mga nag-aakusa laban sa kanya at anya’y naghayag ng kasinungalingan sa pagdinig sa Senado.

“We paid him a visit so he is so much willing to give legal advice. His team and him being the leader, we asked them on the possible legal case which can be filed against these persons falsely accusing me and spreading lies in the recent Senate hearing,” ani Albayalde.

Iginiit ng PNP chief na may mga nagsisinungaling at dapat silang mapanagot.

Tiniyak ni Albayalde na lahat ng kanyang pahayag ay alinsunod sa dokumento at hindi lamang haka-haka.

“These people have to be made responsible for their actions. They should know better. Somebody here is lying, but it’s definitely not me. All my statements are covered with documents, not insinuations,” giit ng PNP chief.

Magugunitang sinabi nina dating Former PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief at ngayo’y Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) chief Aaron Aquino na nakialam si Albayalde sa dismissal ng 13 pulis-Pampanga.

Si Mendoza ay isa sa mga tanyag na abugado sa bansa at dumepensa sa ilang personalidad tulad nina dating Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at Senator Ramon Revilla Jr.

Dati rin itong Solicitor General at naging Secretary of Justice.
