Sistema at serbisyo ng BIR, nagkaka-aberya dahil sa problema sa network connections

Patuloy na nakararanas ang Bureau of Internal Revenue o BIR ng “erratic network connections” sa lahat ng systems and electronic services nito.

Ayon sa BIR, ito ay sa kabila ang intervention ng Department of Information and Technology o DICT.

Ang aberya ay nagsimula pa noong Agosto, na nakaapekto sa sistema at e-Services ng revenue bureau.

Na-delay din ang paglilipat ng Electronic Tax Information System o eTIS backup data and files, partikular mula sa Data Center sa Quezon City patungo sa Data Center sa Makati.

Ang e-TIS ay isang web-based internal BIR platform na ang sakop ay ang taxpayer registration systems; returns filing and processing; collection, remittance and reconciliation; audit; case management system; taxpayers accounts system at iba pang mahahalaga sa proseso ng BIR.

Kaya ngayon ay humihingi ang BIR ng update mula sa DICT partikular sa mga aksyon para maresolba ang problema sa network connection.

Maliban dito ay hinihintay ng BIR mula sa DICT ang long-term solution para suportahan ang complex requirements sa “Data Center hosting and provisioning.”
