Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange project, sisimulan na ng DoTr

Sisimulan na ng Department of Transportation ang Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange project.

Anim na palapag na gusali ng Integrated Terminal Exchange ang itatayo ng DoTr na inaasahang makatutulong sa pagluwag ng matinding trapiko sa EDSA.

Isinagawa ang groundbreaking ceremony na pinangunahan ni Transportation Sec. Art Tugade, DPWH Sec. Mark Villar, BCDA President at CEO Vince Dizon at MMDA Chairman Danny Lim sa ilalim ng ‘Build, Build, Build’ program ng gubyerno.

Itatayo ang Taguig ITX project sa pakikipagtulungan ng pamahalaan sa Ayala Corporation sa kanilang 5.57 hectare property sa loob ng FTI Compound.

Magkakaroon ito ng passenger concourse, isang centralized ticketing area, na may mga business at retail establishments pa.

Kasya rin sa itatayong gusali ang may 1,200 public utility bus, may parking slots rin para sa publiko, at aabot sa 160,000 pasahero ang kayang serbisyuhan nito araw-araw.

May pedestrian walkway connection rin ito sa PNR-FTI station at sa isinusulong na bagong subway system.

Kapag natapos ang proyekto, dito na rin ang istasyon ng lahat ng provincial buses na bumibiyahe sa Southern Tagalog Region, Visayas, at Mindandao.

Inaasahan na pasisimulan ang konstruksyon ng Taguig ITX sa ikalawang bahagi ng taon, at magsisimula ang operasyon nito sa unang quarter ng 2020.
