Justice Carpio, hindi dadalo sa impeachment complaint hearing ni CJ Sereno
Dumistansya si Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio sa impeachment complaint laban kay Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Ito ay matapos na tanggihan ni Carpio ang imbitasyon ng Kamara de Representante na dumalo sa pagdinig sa impeachment complaint kontra sa Punong Mahistrado.
Sa liham ni Carpio kay House justice commitee chairman Reynaldo Umali, idinahilan nito ang kawalan niya ng personal knowledge sa isyu ng benepisyo ng mga senior citizen na ibinibintang kay Sereno sa kanyang pagtanggi na tumestigo.
Iginiit din ni Carpio na naka-wellnes leave siya noong June 19, 2017, mismong araw kung kelan nag-request si Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II na mailipat ang Maute cases mula sa Mindanao.
Nasa labas aniya siya ng bansa mula June 19, 2017 to July 3, 2017.
Wala din aniya siyang personal na impormasyon tungkol sa kontrata ng mga IT consultant ni Sereno na hindi umano dumaan sa public bidding.
