P1,000 dagdag sa sweldo ng mga kasambahay sa Metro Manila, inaprubahan ng Wage Board

Madadagdagan ng P1,000 ang sahod ng mga kasamahay sa National Capital Region (NCR).

Sa wage order na inilabas ng Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board NCR, mula sa dating P2,500 na minimum wage ng mga “kasambahay” sa Metro Manila tataas na ito sa P3,500.

Inaprubahan ng wage board ang dagdag sahod matapos ang isinagawang pag-aaral sa socio-economic conditions at makaraan ang pagdaraos ng public consultations, hearings, at mga deliberasyon.

Aplikable sa lahat ng “kasambahay” ang bagong minimum wage live-in man o live out.

Sakop nito ang mga househelp, “yaya,” cook, gardener, laundry person, at iba pang regular na ginagampanan ang domestic work.

Hindi naman sakop ng wage order ang mga service providers, family drivers, children under foster family arrangement, at iba pa na ang trabaho ay occasionally lamang.

Noong November 20 nang aprubahan ang wage order at epektibo ito labinglimang araw matapos maisapubliko sa mga pahayagan.
