Si Pernia ay maybahay ni National Economic Development Agency Director General Ernesto Pernia at dating news ombudsman ng Inquirer.
Mayroon siyang tatlong taong termino sa nasabing posisyon.
Maliban kay Pernia, muli namang itinalaga ni Duterte si Manila Times Chairman Emeritus Dante Ang bilang presidential envoy for international public relations.
Tatagal nang hanggang sa April 2018 ang nasabing posisyon ni Ang.
Noong Nobyembre 27 ay nanumpa rin sa harap ng pangulo ang ilang mga bagong opisyal ng ilang mga Government Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs).
Sinabi ng tanggapan ng pangulo na bago matapos ang taon ay magtatalaga pa ang pangulo ng ilang mga opisyal sa ilan pang mga bakanteng posisyon sa gobyerno.
