Dumating sa Maynila kahapon ang anti-submarine destroyer ng Japan na Japan Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) vessel JS ONAMI, para sa dalawang araw na goodwill visit.
Ayon kay Philippine Navy spokesperson Capt. Lued Lincuna, tinagpo ng BRP Rajah Humabon ang JS ONAMI sa Corregidor Island at hinatid sa designated anchorage area nito.
Pinaunlakan din nila ng welcome ceremony ang mga bisita na sinundan ng isang port briefing sa JS ONAMI, at courtesy call ng Japanese Navy sa mga opisyal ng Philippine Navy.
Magwawakas ang goodwill visit sa isang send-off ceremony na may Passing Exercise ngayong araw, November 28.
Ito na ang ikatlong beses na may vessel ng Japan na nagsagawa ng goodwill bisit dito sa bansa ngayong taon.
