DOJ at DILG, pag-uusapan ang detention ng 2 Russian drug suspects

Makikipag-ugnayan ang Department of Justice (DOJ) sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) para isapinal ang kung saan ididitene ang dalawang Russian drug suspects na naaresto noong nakaraang taon.

Kasunod ito ng naging pagpupulong ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev noong Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.

Naaresto si Yuri Kirdyushkin noong October 5 dahil nahulihan umano ito ng 10 kilo ng cocaine habang ang isa naman na si ay naaresto noong November si Anastasia Novopashina dahil nahulihan umano ito ng nasa 13 kilo ng cocaine.

Una ng pinag-iingat ng Commission on Human Rights (CHR) ang palasyo ng Malakanyang sa pagbibigay ng special treatment sa naturang dalawang Russian nationals.

Ayon kay Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, plano niyang isapinal ang naturang usapin ngayong weekend.

Aniya ay bibigyan ng patas na paglilitis ang mga ito at walang special treatment itong matatanggap.
