Usapin sa human rights, tatalakayin sa ASEAN Summit

Malaking subject sa Association of Southeast Asian Nation o ASEAN Summit na gaganapin sa susunod na linggo ang usapin sa human rights.

Kinumpirma ito ng Malacañang sa gitna na rin ng kaliwa’t kanang batikos dahil sa paglabag ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa karapatang pantao kung saan nauwi na umano sa extra judicial killings ang pinaigting na kampanya kontra sa iligal na droga.

Ayon kay Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Kris Ablan, ang Department of Social Welfare and Development ang tatayong lider sa naturang paksa.

Katunayan, sinabi rin ni Ablan na mayroon nang agreement na pipirmahan ang mga lider kung saan nagkaroon sila ng consensus sa Human rights of Migrant workers sa ASEAN.

“Yes, mapag-uusapan iyan under the leadership of the DSWD. In fact, meron tayong agreement na mapipirmahan ng ating mga leader, ito iyong consensus on the rights and human rights of migrant workers around ASEAN. So, human rights will be a big subject during the ASEAN meetings,” ani Ablan.

Samantala, positibo naman si Ablan na magiging mabunga ang pag-uusap nina Pangulong Duterte at US President Donald Trump sa Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation o APEC Summit na gaganapin naman sa Da Nang, Vietnam.
