Pulis patay sa pananalakay ng hinihinalang NPA sa bayan ng Gubat, Sorsogon

Nasawi ang isang pulis makaraang salakayin ng mga hinihinalang miyembro ng New People’s Army ang isang police outpost sa sentro ng bayan ng Gubat, Sorsogon.

Kinilala ng Gubat Municipal Police Station ang nasawing pulis na si PO2 Dennis Garbida.

Ayon sa imbestigasyon, bigla na lamang sumalakay ang mga armadong rebelde na sakay ng isang motorsiklo at van sa business district ng naturang bayan dakong alas 6:00 kagabi.

Dahil dito na naka-engkwentro ng mga pulis ang mga rebelde na nagresulta sa pagkamatay ni PO2 Garbida.

Patuloy ang hot pursuit operations ng mga otoridad sa pag-asang matutunton ang kinaroroonan ng mga rebelde.
